As a Realtor, I fully believe that my services and even this website are more about you than me. Still, it may be nice for you to know a little about who you are working with. Maybe there are some common interests we share.
I found my way to Santa Cruz in 1972. Having grown up in Michigan and attended Carleton College in Minnesota, the lure (and sunshine!) of California was too strong to ignore. Imagine, arriving in Santa Cruz in February and seeing strange, exotic flowers in bloom! I quickly was able to dig into the dirt and carry on with one my lifelong passions, gardening.
I never grew roses, though. Until, one day, when the rose bug hit me. It didn’t take long for my entire yard, front and back, to transform into a rose garden. Over sixty roses, mostly heirloom and species varieties, provided endless fragrant bouquets. Roses from the garden
Santa Cruz became a good place to play my violin. For many years I played in the first violin section of the Santa Cruz Symphony. Now I play in a string quartet. We practice weekly, play for weddings and other events and we tell too many bad jokes.
Of course, the natural beauty of Santa Cruz and California keeps my wife and I hiking, camping, finding new areas to explore when we are not visiting other states or other countries. We love to get off the beaten path and immerse ourselves in nature periodically. It helps to keep a healthy perspective on life, on what is important in life.
